New Solna Strand

When building the new Solna Strand, the ambition is to create a city district with a structure that is more varied than before. A key element of the programme is to resurrect contact between the area and the water along the Bällstaviken bay.

The new coastal walkway with green surfaces, refreshment facilities and jetties will lead people all the way to Karlberg Castle and further on to the City of Stockholm. New thoroughfares will be intertwined with old ones and new meeting places will create space for cultural and business development.

When a new area grows and changes, requirements concerning neighbourhood service, cafes and restaurants also increase. The ambition underlying Solna Strand is to offer something that surpasses basic neighbourhood service. A bite to eat with friends at a local outdoor restaurant, a chat over coffee by the jetty or a game of boules in the sunset with friends. That is what will characterise the new Solna Strand.

The Nöten property block, Solna Strandväg 22, is a building that was erected in the 1970s, originally for the Swedish Tax Agency. The building is currently undergoing comprehensive renovation, which will encompass future technical solutions and result in flexible offices that are fully adaptable to match customer requests, requirements and business conditions.
