A place for forward-thinking businesses

When Miele was selecting the location for its Nordic headquarters, two priorities topped their wishlist: accessibility for everyone and the freedom to create a unique brand identity. In Solna Business Park, they found an environment that matches their own high ambitions.

For Niklas Mair, Managing Director Nordic at Miele, choosing an office location is a balancing act between employee needs and client expectations. In Solna Business Park, they have found a base that acts as a magnet for both.

"We live in a world where we are constantly meeting both external partners and our own staff. In that context, transport links and the local variety of shops, gyms, and great dining options are absolutely vital. It’s easy to get here, whether you’re using public transport or driving," says Niklas Mair.

Focus on identity and attracting talent

Miele wasn't looking for a turnkey, "one-size-fits-all" concept. For a brand with such a powerful identity, the opportunity to put their own stamp on the premises in collaboration with Fabege was a key part of the move. However, it was also about attracting the right people.

"A major reason for moving here was to retain our current staff while also attracting a new generation of talent. We have a diverse mix of employees of all ages, and for the younger generations, the ease of commuting without owning a car is extremely important. The fact that there are so many other exciting companies nearby gives the entire area an air of expertise that people want to be a part of."

A district with drive

Niklas describes the atmosphere in Solna Business Park as something distinct from the classic "inner-city vibe." Instead, there is a specific energy defined by progress.

"It’s a district where businesses are forward-leaning and ambitious—just like the location itself. This is also evident in Fabege’s approach; they work consistently to drive the area forward in a very positive way," he explains.

A partnership that goes the extra mile

The relationship with Fabege extends far beyond mere bricks and mortar. Niklas highlights their attentiveness and ability to create added value that strengthens the sense of community among the companies in the Park.

"Fabege is incredibly solution-oriented and genuinely interested in our well-being. They go the extra mile—from being responsive to our specific needs to organising social events, such as football tournaments at the National Arena. It’s a partnership that truly delivers in the everyday work environment."
