- Tram
- The tram runs through the heart of the area with two dedicated stations.
- The Sjöstad Ferry
- The ferry departs from the Luma quay (Lumabryggan) every 20 minutes.
- Cycling
- Excellent cycle paths connect Sjöstan to the rest of the city.
- Underground (The Blue Line)
- From 2030, the Blue Line will serve Hammarby Sjöstad, running from Kungsträdgården via new stations at Sofia, Hammarby Kanal, Sickla, Järla, and Nacka. In Hammarby Sjöstad, the underground will have two entrances: one at Mårtensdal and one at Luma.
