For a decade, the game studio Toca Boca has called Hammarby Sjöstad home. Together with Fabege, they have created the "Toca Boca Campus" – an award-winning workplace where the boundaries between the physical environment and the company’s digital world are blurred.
For Lina Persson, Operations Producer at Toca Boca, the iconic Luma Factory is far more than just a beautiful brick building. This former lightbulb factory from 1930, renowned as Sweden’s first functionalist industrial building, now serves as the backdrop for one of the world’s most creative workplaces. Here, approximately 200 employees and consultants work on creating digital toys for children across the globe.
"We always highlight the proximity to water and nature. There’s something special about having Hammarby Sjö right outside the window. Watching the boats glide past after the locks have opened provides a sense of calm that contrasts beautifully with the creative energy inside. The raw industrial character of the building, with its large windows and generous ceiling heights, suits us perfectly," says Lina.
