Friends Arena is not just a venue for the biggest sports events and concerts. You can also book conferences there that bring out your creative side.

A conference can mark the start of a new direction for your company or bring your team closer together. It can be a good idea to get out of the office and spend time with each other in a different environment to make it easier to think in innovative ways. Friends Arena organises conferences for groups of 2,000–75,000 people.

“It’s easy to be creative when you’re in a different environment,” says Victoria Huusko, who is in charge of Friends Arena’s conference and event business. “Here, you can be a part of important occasions, hear the applause from the audience and get a sense of world-class magic and artistry. And you get to do this with your company and employees.”

For example, you can hold a seminar in one of the many rooms with sports or music equipment, show your company presentation on the 65-square-metre screen in the middle of the arena, or book the LED strip that runs alongside the entire floor and show a film on the arena’s 700 screens. Food and drink for your conference is supplied by Operakällaren.

All kinds of activities

When you want to take a break from meetings, you can choose between a wide range of activities – everything from a ceiling tour and a ropeway to a guided tour behind the scenes. And as this is the national arena for the men’s national football team and the home arena of Stockholm team AIK, you can obviously also play football with your colleagues.

“Those who’ve been at a conference here return home a little bolder and a bit more creative. In our digital world, the need to actually meet each other and take the time to reflect is growing,” says Victoria.

Friends Arena collaborates with the business and sports network 100/Oktan, to which many Swedish sports personalities are linked. This means that you can book a lecture for your conference on how to put together a winning team, mental training or other topics linked to sport and business. To succeed with your conference, Victoria advises carefully considering the goal and purpose.

“We can then give you tips on suitable activities and programmes,” she says, and concludes by saying that “We’re open 365 days a year, and you can even book meetings at short notice.”
