SHH Bostad and Fabege begin construction in Kista

Following a successful sales period, SHH and Fabege have decided to begin construction of the first stage of the Selfoss district in central Kista consisting of 69 apartments, with the moving-in date set for spring 2020. Over 60 per cent of the tenant-owner apartments have been sold with binding pre-agreements. Agreements have been signed with construction company Cobab for the contracting work.

The first stage, Brf Reykjavik in the Selfoss district will mainly consist of bright, well-planned studios and 1-bedroom apartments, 26–50 m2in size, to meet the major need for small, moderately priced apartments in Kista. The project is well situated on Kista Gårdsväg, around 500 metres from Kista Galleria and the metro.

The entire project comprises three stages, with a total of 276 moderately priced apartments and a subterranean garage, and SHH’s vision for the area is partly to create 3–8 floors with irregular facades, mainly alternating between dark-green, light-grey and greyish white plaster. To lend more distinct weight and material character to the building, the base will be made of brick, with well-designed details around the entrances and openings. The courtyard consists of an open, partially green, partially hard-standing surface, featuring both private and shared outdoor spaces, along with play areas and cycle parking.

- “The rapid sales show that our apartments are attractive and we’ve hit the spot in terms of price range, requirements and demand in the area,” says Fredrik Johansson, Project Development Manager, SHH.
