A fossil-free and climate-neutral construction and civil engineering industry

Fabege stands behind the updated roadmap for a fossil-free and climate-neutral construction and civil engineering industry.

In addition to goals to reduce our CO2 footprint, the updated roadmap also contains concrete commitments to work towards the goals. As a developer and property owner, we undertake to integrate the goals into our business plan and allocate resources, collaborate with other actors in the industry, increase our competence and share experiences. We will look after, maintain and energy optimize existing buildings so that they are efficient and last a long time. We will always investigate the possibilities of developing already existing buildings instead of building new ones, and when we build we set clear climate requirements that contribute to renewable energy, resource efficiency and circularity. These commitments go hand in hand with Fabege's own strategies to reduce climate impact and we look forward to increased cooperation in the industry.

Fossil-free Sweden is an initiative by the Swedish government whose mission is to bring together various industries to increase the pace of climate change. Within the framework of fossil-free Sweden, 22 industries have drawn up roadmaps, of which the construction and civil engineering industry is one of these.

In addition to the roadmap for the construction and civil engineering sector, we have previously also signed the roadmap for the heating industry.
