After almost 25 years at Fabege, of which over the past 12 years as President and CEO, Christian Hermelin has informed Fabege's Board of Directors that he has decided to leave the company. In order to ensure a smooth succession, Christian has agreed to remain as CEO until a successor has taken over the role. The board will now initiate a recruitment process.
Mats Qviberg has informed the Nomination Committee that, due to lack of time, he cannot longer participate in the nomination committee's further work. Investment AB Öresund has appointed Andreas Hofmann to replace Mats Qviberg.
800,000 m3 heated bedrock provides a pleasant climate for employees in Tidningshuset
Fabege’s well-known building in Marieberg is heated and cooled using ultramodern geoenergy storage with a volume of more than 800,000 m3. In summer, 38-degree Celsius water is pumped down into the bedrock, which is heated up. When colder days arrive, the heat is brought back up.
Fabege acquires three properties close to the station in Flemingsberg from Vincero Fastigheter AB. Transfer of ownership for the properties Regulator 1, Batteriet 3 and Batteriet 4will take place 1 November 2018.
Well-known 55 year old environmentally certified with high marks
The Tidningshuset building, known by most Stockholmers as DN-skrapan (DN-Skyscraper), has undergone an environmental certification process and received the assessment BREEAM-in-Use Very Good. Fabege has carefully transformed this culturally historic building into a modern office building with a high level of environmental performance and with exciting and surprising content.
At Fabege’s Annual General Meeting on 9 April 2018, it was decided that the Nominating Committee, whose tasks include submitting proposals to Members of the Board, would primarily comprise representatives of the four largest shareholders. The names of the Nominating Committee's members and the owners they represent are to be announced no later than six months before the AGM and are based on the known ownership immediately before the announcement.
Fabege and TB Group to create 130 new residential homes in Råsunda
Fabege and the TB Group have signed an agreement to jointly develop approximately 130 tenant-owner apartments at the old Råsunda Stadium, next to Solna Centrum and the metro station. Fabege already owns the so-called “Dallashuset” (the property Lagern 3), which is being converted into attractive tenant-owner apartments. The TB Group has now acquired 50 per cent of the project and the parties have agreed to run a joint venture. The project launch will take place in autumn 2018, with the first residents moving in during autumn 2020.
Fabege rents out 2,000 sqm in Hammarby Sjöstad to Hyper Island
The internationally established education company Hyper Island has signed a green rental agreement for 2,000 sqm in the Trikåfabriken 9 property in Hammarby Sjöstad. The green agreement has a duration of seven years and has an average rent of SEK 3,200 per sqm. Hyper Island will move into its new premises on 1 July 2019.
