Reuse Hub Wins Solna Environmental Award 2026

Fabege’s Reuse Hub in Solna Business Park has been awarded the Solna Environmental Award 2026. The award recognises businesses and initiatives that contribute to more sustainable development in Solna, and the jury particularly highlighted the hub’s role in driving the construction industry towards more circular ways of working.

The jury’s motivation stated:

“Through concrete action, the Reuse Hub has demonstrated that reuse in construction is a serious and scalable solution. The owners have generously shared their experiences with the wider construction industry.”

Mia Häggström, Head of Sustainability at Fabege, comments on the award:

“We are extremely proud to receive this award. The Reuse Hub is an initiative that has truly made a difference and continues to evolve. For us, reuse is a central part of our processes and an important tool in reducing the climate impact of our projects,” says Mia Häggström, Head of Sustainability at Fabege.

The Reuse Hub was established by Fabege three years ago as part of the company’s investment in circular construction. Since its launch, several hundred tonnes of construction materials have been reused in tenant improvements and refurbishment projects instead of becoming waste. Through the hub, materials such as glass partitions, suspended ceilings, doors, lighting fixtures and other building products have been inventoried, dismantled, quality assured and reused in new projects.

Earlier this year, Fabege took the next step in this initiative by transferring ownership of the Reuse Hub to Ragn-Sells and simultaneously joining Reboost – Ragn-Sells’ platform and reuse hub for large-scale circular construction reuse. The aim is to create greater volumes, more efficient material flows and better conditions to meet the growing demand for circular solutions in the construction sector.
