Summer in the City – Oskar Sköld’s Top Tips

After more than 25 years at Fabege, Oskar Sköld shares what makes our City portfolio unique, reflects on its development and reveals his top summer tips.

Describe the City in three words.

– Outstanding properties, vibrant city life and quality. It’s an area that never stands still. There’s an incredible choice of restaurants, cultural attractions and shopping, while we, together with other property owners and the City of Stockholm, continue to develop the city centre.

You’ve been with Fabege for more than 25 years. What are you most proud of?

– I think the transformation of Kungsgatan is a great example. We’ve helped enhance the restaurant and retail offering in our properties and contributed to making the street an even more attractive destination.

What are you most looking forward to?

– I’m really looking forward to reopening Wenner-Gren Center in its new form. It will be a fantastic addition, bringing even more life and quality to the area.

Oskar’s Top Summer Tips in the City

Summer favourite: The City really comes alive in spring and summer. The summer streets fill with people, outdoor cafés and restaurants spill out onto the pavements, and there’s always something new to discover – from new restaurants to swimming spots such as Norr Mälarstrand. My best tip is simply to head out for a walk.
Restaurant: Farang.
Hidden gem: The courtyard at Centralbadet or the rooftop terrace at Hotel Kung Carl.

And what does your perfect summer day off look like?

– I’d start with a coffee at Socker Sucker on Drottninggatan, go for a run in Hagaparken, and round off the day with dinner at La Esquina.
