Ambitious sustainability goals
In Kvarter 1, we have set ambitious sustainability goals. The building’s façade is made from reclaimed brick, making it the largest office building in Sweden currently using recycled brick.
The property has been preliminarily certified with the highest rating level, "Outstanding," according to BREEAM-SE, and is currently one of only ten newly constructed buildings in Sweden to have achieved this high standard.
In 2023, Block 1 was named the winner of the BREEAM Building of the Year 2023 award, a prize that celebrates properties that inspire and lead the way in sustainability.
The building’s energy consumption exceeds the requirements of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (Boverket) by more than 50% compared to their new-build regulations. We have also succeeded in reducing the CO2 footprint by 25% from the initial estimates to the final product.
